This Department aims at being a Center of Excellence by acting as a facilitator for knowledge generation and dissemination to produce professionals in the area of Electronics & Communication by Institute-Industry Interaction. Some of the areas in which theory and lab courses are available include: Analog and Digital Communication Systems, Fiber Optic Communication, Data Communication, Satellite Communication, Telecommunication, Mobile and Cellular Communication, Antenna and Wave Propagation, Optical Fiber Network, Biomedical Instrumentations, Microprocessors and their Applications, Artificial Intelligence, VLSI design, Digital Signal Processing, Microwave and Radar, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Linear Control System, Signals and Systems, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Micro controllers.

PCB Lab, Simulation Lab, Instrumentation and Control Lab, Transducers Lab, Digital Lab, Microwave Lab and Microprocessor Laboratory.The students are also given opportunity to design and test their circuits using computer software such as MATLAB, MULTISIM, VHDL and ULTIBOARD. This serves the students in gaining practical exposure to the developing technologies. The students are encouraged to take industrial problems and new innovative ideas as their projects. Seminars are presented by the students as well as the teachers. Apart from this, department arranges various personality development and skill improvement programmes by professionals for overall development of the students.
