Electrical Engineering
In view of recent developments in Science & Technology, the EE department has
been updated with latest equipment to enable the students and faculty in putting
their best efforts to earn name for the Institute. Creativity has been the main
intention of the Electrical department of this college and is making all efforts
for this. This department has not only got technically sound faculty but also
all the modern equipments. Right from its inception in 1997 the department of
electrical engineering bears the credentials to impart quality education in the
areas of electrical engineering to keep pace with state of technology. The
department has well equipped laboratories and is continuously modernizing the
lab facilities with latest technology. The department has established
laboratories with advance facilities in these areas. The department has five
major well equipped laboratories:
• Electrical Machine Lab.
• Control & Instrumentation Lab.
• Simulation Lab.
• Power Systems & Design Lab.
• Basic Electrical & Electronics Lab.
The faculty comprises of senior members with vast experience in areas such as
Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Basic Electrical & Electronics, Power
Electronics etc. The emphasis of the curriculum is to provide students with a
vast panorama of knowledge by blending theory with practice The department
offers B. Tech. and M.Tech programs in Electrical Engineering discipline The
Institute is continuously modernizing the labs with latest software tools like
Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) and Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) etc.
The department is actively encouraging staff development programs. The students
are also encouraged to attend seminars and guest lecturers for personality
development and lectures from guests from industries. Industrial visits of
students are arranged so that they can be used to industrial environment.
